McAuliffe says he'll move ahead on Medicaid expansion

Now that Trumpcare is dead, Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is proposing a budget amendment to revive his plans to expand Medicaid:

The back story: The Democratic governor has always wanted to expand Medicaid, but given the uncertainty of the political climate since the presidential election, he had held off on proposing the amendment to be fiscally responsible — until today. The shift comes after the House pulled the Obamacare repeal and replacement bill, which would have phased out Medicaid expansion and cut federal funding to the states.
