House approves mandatory sexual harassment training

The House on Wednesday approved a measure requiring annual anti-harassment training for all lawmakers and aides, the Associated Press reports. Why it matters: The vote comes as lawmakers are facing mounting scrutiny over allegations of sexual harassment and how they're handled. Rep. John Conyers, a leading figure in the civil rights movement and the House's longest-serving member, is facing multiple harassment allegations, which he denies.
