GOP goofs on Trump job claim
America's economy has added more than one million jobs since President Trump took office, prompting the Republican National Committee to tweet out that such an accomplishment is "unprecedented." But it isn't.
Job numbers: According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there has been a net gain of nearly 1.1 million jobs between February and July 2017. But that falls shy of the 1.25 million jobs created between February and July 2016. Or the 1.39 million jobs for the same period 2015. Or 1.5 million in 2014 or 1.12 million in 2013. And, yes, the same dichotomy exists if you begin each time period with January instead of February.
