With Bill Shine following Roger Ailes and Bill O'Reilly out the door at Fox News, critics say the chain of command at the network is still tainted:
- Some current and former women at Fox are "reacting viscerally" against the naming of Shine's deputy, Suzanne Scott, as his replacement, per NPR's David Folkenflik: "One ex Fox-er: Scott is 'a nightmare - just as bad as the rest.' A current Fox employee: 'Worse than Shine' in deflecting concerns of women."
- Critics lament Rupert Murdoch's tone on departures: Murdoch called O'Reilly "one of the most accomplished TV personalities in the history of cable news"; said Shine was "respected and liked by everyone"; and Ailes had executed his vision for the network "brilliantly over 20 great years."
- There are now calls for Dianne Brandi, Fox's top lawyer, to be the next to go, per Folkenflik and Buzzfeed's Mary Georgantopoulos.
